Strictly Come Dancing fans have been left stunned after it was revealed that professional dancer Graziano Di Prima has had a surprising career change.

The television personality, who was paired in the latest series with documentary maker and former Love Island star Zara McDermott, is appearing in a film airing on US television called A Paris Christmas Waltz.

Graziano was cast in it alongside stars including Jade Ewen from the Sugababes and Matthew Morrison from Glee.

A Paris Christmas Waltz tells the story of a pro dancer who is losing their love for dance and seeks inspiration from a novice so they can try and start enjoying it again.

Ahead of the premiere of the film on 19 November, Jade took to Instagram to share some behind-the-scenes pictures of her and Graziano.

She wrote: "Some pics of me and @grazianodiprima from #aparischristmaswaltz. Premiere's Nov 19 on @gactv. P.S Swipe to the end to see our faces the first time we get through the routine with no mistakes!"

The pictures showed them having fun as they practiced their routine and also revealed them dressed up in their outfits for the film. They seemed to be laughing and smiling a lot as they worked together.

There was also a video of them filming a dance while another clip showed the crew clapping them as they finished a segment for A Paris Christmas Waltz.

Earlier this month, Graziano shared his own behind-the-scenes pictures of the film and announced his role. He wrote: "HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT!!! I am so happy to finally be able to say that I have featured in my first ever movie!

"I am playing the role of Paolo in 'A Paris Christmas Waltz' which debuts Sunday, Nov. 19 at 8pm eastern time on Great American Family, over in the US!"

"When I was a young boy growing up in Sicily, I never dreamed that I would have the experiences that I am now, and I am so humbled and grateful to be able to have this opportunity. I cannot wait to watch with my family this Christmas."

His Strictly pals and fellow professional dancers took to the comments section to praise him after his announcement. Vito Coppola wrote: "Weeeee congrats fraaaa," and Karen Hauer said: "Amazing!! Congrats."

Amy Dowden said: "Go on @grazianodiprima," and Jowita Przystal penned: "Congratulations," with two red love heart emojis.

Meanwhile, Zara wrote: "So proud of you!!!!!!!! My partner is a movie star!!!"
