The Three Lions brushed aside and completed the double over holders Italy at Wembley to secure qualification with two matches to spare in Group C.

England were inspired by another Jude Bellingham masterclass, and the Real Madrid midfielder could prove vital if Gareth Southgate's side are to win their first major trophy since 1966.

England are clearly knocking at the door having reached a semi-final, a final and a quarter-final in Southgate's three tournaments as manager.

And Betfair think the 58-year drought could soon be over having priced the Three Lions at 4/1 to clinch the trophy at Berlin's Olympiastadion on Sunday 14 July 2024.

Betfair spokesperson Sam Rosbottom said: "England are the 4/1 favourites to win Euro 2024 after they qualified for the tournament with a 3-1 victory over Italy on Tuesday night.

"France are 9/2 to stop it from coming home for the Three Lions, with Germany 6/1 and Spain 7/1. Cristiano Ronaldo is 9/1 to lead Portugal to Euro 2024 glory in what could be his final major international tournament, while holders Italy are 12/1."

As mentioned above, France are 9/2 second-favourites to add to their stacked trophy cabinet in Germany next year.

Kylian Mbappe has been named the new French captain by Didier Deschamps, and it's working well with the nation having won all six of their qualifiers, conceding just once.

Germany – who will host the tournament – were previously favourites and are still in the mix at 6/1 with Julian Nagelsmann now in charge of the national team.

Spain and Cristiano Ronaldo's Portugal follow next at 7/1 and 9/1 respectively, ahead of 12/1 Belgium and 14/1 duo Italy and Holland.
