The late Amy Winehouse sang there regularly during the early part of her career.
It was founded by Billy Brannigan, who was accused of raping a woman in a hotel room with the club’s head chef in 1997, but was cleared of all charges in September of this year.
The club was funded by investor Mr Johnson, also the brains behind Pizza Express. He was not accused of any crime. The club closed in 2010.
