November 25, 2023Moment disgraced influencer Andrew Tate defends ‘mum-shaming’ Amanda Holden for her racy bikini shower pic and insists he’s a ‘feminist’ in explosive interview with Piers Morgan
Andrew Tate has defended himself for ‘mum-shaming’ Amanda Holden after she posted a racy picture of herself in a bikini by insisting he’s a ‘feminist’.
The disgraced influencer, 36, who is currently under house arrest in Bucharest over sex trafficking charges, appeared in the first of two ‘explosive’ interviews with Piers Morgan on his TalkTV show earlier today.
During the at times heated conversation Tate said he was not insulting Mrs Holden when she posted a picture of herself in a bikini on Twitter and he was instead ‘reminding her of her worth’, while acting as a ‘feminist’.
The Heart FM presenter, 52, had tweeted a racy image of herself enjoying a poolside shower in a black two-piece, which ignited a vile response from the former Big Brother contestant, dubbed ‘the king of toxic masculinity’.
Replying to Amanda’s tweet featuring her snap, Tate wrote: ‘You are a wife and a mother and you’re far past a teenager. There is no need for this post.’

During the TalkTV interview Tate accused the Britain’s Got Talent judge for ‘thrist trapping’, a slang term used to reference a social media post that is supposedly intended to attract attention.
He said: ‘You can call me crazy you can call me misogynistic but I think once a woman reaches the rip age of 50 any woman should not be interested in thirst trapping on instagram.
He then went on to compliment Mrs Holden, saying: ‘I think she has bigger responsibilities. I’m sure she is a very intelligent lady, she has done amazing things.
‘She is famous, she’s obviously very capable and I think she can do things more interesting than standing around trying to thirst trap on instagram like she’s 18.’
Tate went on to add that he wasn’t ‘insulting’ Mrs Holden but he was ‘reminding her that she is such a fantastic person…that she is above thirst trapping’, telling Piers Morgan that he did so ‘as a feminist’.
Tate said: ‘As a feminist, we’re all feminists here right we all believe in women empowerment, I am reminding her of her worth.’
Morgan then asks him if he is a feminist to which Tate replies: ‘sure’. However, the TalkTV host pushes back on this, prompting Tate to declare that he is a feminist and that he believes in female empowerment.
Tate added: ‘Taking your clothes off for men on Instagram is not empowering. It’s empowering when you say “no man but my husband can see my body”. That is female empowerment.’
Mrs Holden had been eagerly documenting her sunny getaway with her music producer husband Chris Hughes, who she wed in 2008 and the happy couple share daughters Lexi, 17 and Hollie, 11.
Scores of people took to Twitter to defend the presenter and actress, among them Loose Women star Charles White 43, who tweeted: ‘Attention-seeking by attempting to troll @AmandaHolden?!
‘Someone ought to take up crochet and stop entering grown-up conversations.’

Tate has millions of fans, with Morgan saying two out of five people he speaks to are young men wanting to know about the social media influencer
Feminist barrister Charlotte Proudman tweeted: ‘Self proclaimed misogynist, Andrew Tate has been charged with rape & under house arrest but that doesn’t stop him taking to Twitter to make sexist jibes about Amanda Holden — whilst age & body shaming her.
‘”The king of toxic masculinity” strikes again.’
Other Twitter users were scathing about Tate’s unwarranted attack on Holden.
Ellis Karran tweeted: ‘You are literally 36 years old and shirtless in your profile picture you utterly creepy man.’
Gigi Slavic added: ‘You’re almost 40 years old and your whole page is shirtless pics, anime and porn.’
Divisive social media influencer Tate has millions of followers across his various online platforms.
He was arrested in December 2022 on allegations of rape, human trafficking and organised crime, spending several months in prison before then been moved to house arrest. He was freed from this in August.
The 36-year-old has insisted he has ‘done nothing wrong’ and has dismissed the allegations against, saying Romanian authorities have ‘no substantial evidence’ against him.
Speaking outside his home in Bucharest, Romania, in August, Tate told reporters he would be ‘absolutely exonerated’ over the charges brought against him and his younger 35-year-old brother.
