MACY'S annual Thanksgiving Day Parade is back for another holiday extravaganza.

Year after year, the spectacle manages to keep millions of viewers tuned in.

What time is Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade?

On Thursday, November 23, Macy's 2023 Thanksgiving Day Parade is scheduled to begin at 8:30 am and conclude at 12 pm.

"For nearly 100 years, the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade has been synonymous with the beginning of the holiday season, celebration and togetherness," said the Macy's team.

"Our talented team of Macy’s Studios artisans and production specialists work year-round to deliver the nation’s most beloved holiday event, live on Thanksgiving morning.

"We are proud to hold this responsibility and look forward to sharing our unbelievable designs, larger-than-life character balloons, and first-class entertainment, all sure to create lifelong memories for Parade fans nationwide."

For the 2023 edition of Macy's Thanksgiving Parade, the lineup of performers are:

In addition to the live music acts, the event includes:

  • 5,000 volunteers
  • 16 featured character balloons
  • 26 fantastic floats
  • 32 heritage and novelty balloons
  • More than 700 clowns
  • 12 marching bands
  • Nine performance groups

This year's festivities are co-hosted by Savannah Guthrie, Hoda Kotb, and Al Roker.

Meanwhile, the corresponding Spanish-language broadcast is hosted by Carlos Adyan and Andrea Meza.

Other scheduled appearances include Jordan Chiles (Gymnastics), Ezra Frech (Track and Field), Jessica Long (Swimming), and Miss America 2023 Grace Stanke.

At the start of the event, Jon Batiste will kick things off and Cher will close the show with Santa Claus.

What is the parade's route?

At 8:30 am, the parade is slated to begin at 77th Street and Central Park West.

From the abovementioned location, the parade will then march for 2.5 miles toward Columbus Circle.

Next, the spectacle will march down Central Park South and 6th Avenue until it reaches 34th street.

At 34th Street, the parade will march west until it turns on 7th Avenue to end at Macy's Herald Square location.

Public viewing of the festivities is to be set up along the routes.

The NYPD advises against crowd goers bringing large bags, umbrellas, backpacks, and strollers.

How can I watch the parade?

Macy's 97th Thanksgiving Parade is slated to air live on NBC.

The broadcast will also be available for live streaming via Peacock.

An encore of the celebration is scheduled to be aired at 2pm EST.

Don't forget about the time zone difference, the live broadcast will not adjust its time for different regions.

For example, if you're viewing from the West Coast, the live broadcast will begin at 8:30 am EST, which means it would begin at 5:30 am PST.
