James Haskell ‘ignores’ Chloe Madeley on date night after criticising outfit
November 4, 2023Chloe Madeley says she dresses up ‘slutty’ for girls’ night
Chloe Madeley told her husband James Haskell he was “ignoring” her in the taxi as they headed out for a date night.
In their ITVBe reality show, Chloe Madeley: A Family Affair, which was filmed before the couple announced their split, James and Chloe bickered about the way the fitness fanatic dressed.
As James lay on their bed, Chloe looked through her wardrobe as she tried to decide what to wear on their date.
However, it wasn’t long before the former rugby star told Chloe she never dressed up for their dates together.
Chloe began: “I know it’s a date but also it’s an active, competitive date so I’m not going to be dressing… like I ever do… which is like a girly girl.”

James promptly replied: “Why are you pretending that you ever get really dressed up? You’re lying!
“You always sit on a date and go ‘Does it upset you that I don’t wear any makeup and never dress up?’ and I’m like, ‘No!’.
Chloe laughed as she responded: “That sounded like a lie.”
“It’s more the fact you do something and you worry about it,” James continued.
“I feel bad because…”Chloe went on to say before James interrupted: “Not bad enough to ever change it though.”

“In my head, we’re leaving the house and I’m comfortable and I’m warm and that’s all I care about,” Chloe admitted.
“Then we get there and other girls, like Love Island-type girls walk in and I’m like, ‘Oh s**t, poor James’.”
“I never complain,” James argued back. “Never complain, never explain.”
Chloe added: “I dress a bit s***ty, just not girly.”
“You always dress s***ty when I’m not there which is even worse,” the dad-of-one hit back.
However, when the duo got in the taxi, James seemed to be busy working on his laptop while Chloe sat beside him.
She sarcastically quipped: “The best start to the date is when your husband brings his laptop with him.
“I have to admit I’m already having the best date with you while you ignore me. Well, it’s a great date so far.”
