October 19, 2023HITMAKER Dwight Twilley – the legend behind a string of hits including Girls and I'm On Fire – has died aged 72.
Dwight's wife Jan confirmed news of his death on Thursday but did not mention his cause of death.
The musician's family promised to "provide further details" in the next few days as they "honour and remember the remarkable life" of the late star.

A “Best of” collection of Dwight's songs was released earlier this year.
It covers six original albums: Tulsa, The Luck, 47 Moons, Green Blimp, Soundtrack and Always.

Dwight recently revealed he had broken his leg
Dwight revealed at the weekend that he had broken his leg.
"Dwight Twilley broke his leg! Has to hang up his Dancin’ shoes for a while," he posted on Facebook on Saturday.
The singer added that he was going to have surgery on his tibia.
Shortly before that, he wrote: "I’m not feelin’ that great today… My leg is Very Messed up… Nighty, night, night [sic]."
