Elf has just dropped a range of glossy £8 lip oils to rival Kylie Jenner’s viral £24 buys
October 13, 2023In case you missed it, Kylie Jenner recently launched a whole host of brand new flavours of her viral lip oil, with the Kylie Skin Coconut Lip Oil, £20.40 here (was £24), at Boots, and Passionfruit, Strawberry, Pomegranate and Watermelon all available at Selfridges.
The trending lip oil has been a major hit on social media, and has even been called a dupe of the Dior Addict Lip Glow Oil, £32 here, with one review saying: “Solid lip oil, non-sticky good longevity and seals in hydration nicely. Also love the applicator, very smooth similar to the Dior lip oil one but better formula.”
However, despite it being a more affordable version of the luxury lip oil, Kylie’s £24 price tag is still a little out of budget for many of us, which is why we were so excited to discover Elf Cosmetics’ latest launch.
The Glow Reviver Lip Oil, £8 here, officially launched yesterday (October 12), and comes in seven different shades (one more than Kylie’s, in case you were keeping score).
The sheer formula gives your lips a wash of ultra-glossy colour, and leaves a non-sticky shine on your lips that’s packed with nourishing oils and a minty scent.
The Lip Oil can be worn on its own or over the top of your favourite lipstick, and has a plush, oversized applicator that hugs your lips to make sure you get an even coating.
The Elf Cosmetics Glow Reviver Lip Oil, £8 here, contains squalene, and apricot, avocado, jojoba and pomegranate oils to help give your lips a healthy dose of nourishment and conditioning as you wear it, making it a skincare and makeup product in one.
Lip Oils are definitely set to be one of the must-have products in the coming months, and they’re perfect for adding to your autumn/winter beauty routine to help banish chapped, dry lips.
Plenty of our favourite brands have also brought out their own version recently, including the Fenty Skin Cherry Treat Lip Conditioning Oil, £16 here (was £20), and the more affordable Nyx Professional Makeup Fat Oil Lip Drip Gloss, £7.49 here, both of which have a sheer wash of colour that’s the perfect addition to your cold weather makeup routine to give you soft, nourished lips without any of the stickiness of lip gloss.
We’re predicting the Elf Cosmetics Glow Reviver Lip Oil, £8 here, will be blowing up on TikTok any day now, so make sure to snap yours up before it sells out, and say hello to soft, glossy lips (without having to worry about your hair getting stuck to it).
