Phoebe Waller-Bridge shows off sparkling ring on her engagement finger
September 24, 2023Why Fleabag is in the pink! Phoebe Waller-Bridge shows off sparkling ring on her engagement finger as she attends brother’s wedding – after banking £16million last year
She’s been Britain’s golden girl ever since her hit comedy Fleabag launched her to global superstardom.
But unlike her chaotic alter ego, things certainly seem to be going the right way for Phoebe Waller-Bridge, whose company earned £16m last year.
The actress and writer, 38, could also be about to get the happy ending that alluded Fleabag as she has fuelled speculation that she is engaged to filmmaker and playwright Martin McDonagh.
Waller-Bridge, who has been dating Oscar winning McDonagh, 53, since 2017, sparked rumours that they are set to wed by wearing an enormous diamond ring on her engagement finger at her brother’s wedding at the weekend.
And the star certainly didn’t seem to be keeping a low profile in a bright pink Etro suit, costing £1,945, a matching £400 waistcoat and a black necktie.

There it is: Unlike her chaotic alter ego, things certainly seem to be going the right way for Waller-Bridge , whose company earned £16m last year
She was joined by her filmmaker other half as her brother Jasper Waller-Bridge married Downton Abbey actress Michelle Dockery at St Nicholas’ Church in Chiswick, West London.
Waller-Bridge and McDonagh are considered one of the film world’s most prolific power couples who regularly support each other on the red carpet.
The actress was on hand to celebrate with her partner at this year’s Oscars, where his film The Banshees of Inisherin was nominated for nine awards.
‘It’s really useful being with someone who I think is a genius, it just ups your game,’ she previously said of her relationship.
Waller-Bridge, who most recently appeared on the big screen opposite Harrison Ford in Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, has had a successful year with her finances as well as in her love life.
According to Companies House, her company PMWB Limited made nearly £16m in the financial year ending last November.
She won Golden Globes, Emmys and a BAFTA for smash hit Fleabag and was nominated for her work writing and producing Killing Eve.

Happy couple: Waller-Bridge, 38, and Martin McDonagh, 53, have been dating since 2017
She has since been a co-writer on the latest James Bond film, No Time To Die, and appeared in Solo: A Star Wars Story. She signed a £60 million three-year deal with Amazon in 2019.
Waller-Bridge was previously married to Irish filmmaker Conor Woodman, but they split in 2017 after three years of marriage.
A spokesperson for Waller-Bridge did not respond when asked if the star was engaged earlier this month.
But it would certainly signal that she has moved on after her divorce from her first husband, Irish author and documentary maker Woodman, 49, was finalised last year.
She has, until recently, remained tight-lipped over her latest relationship with McDonagh who, aged 53, is 15 years her senior.
They were first spotted together at a screening of McDonagh’s Oscar-winning movie Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri in 2017.

When asked if they read each other’s work, Waller-Bridge, who helped polish the script for the latest Bond movie, No Time To Die, replied: ‘We don’t really share anything beforehand . . . I just really, really fancy him.
‘So if you show someone something, and you fancy them, it can become this blur.’
Having admired his work long before she met him, she admitted he has had a huge influence on her.
‘It’s really useful being with someone who I think is a genius, it just ups your game,’ she said.
‘I would always have wanted Martin McDonagh to think of my work as good, whether I was with him or not. I will find out now, either way.’
