Workman, 61, dies and second man fighting for his life after falling through roof of bakery in Milton Keynes | The Sun

A WORKMAN has died and a second man is fighting for his life after falling through the roof of a bakery factory.

The contractors are thought to have been working at Lantmannen Unibake in Maidstone Road, Kingston, Milton Keynes, when the accident happened on Monday.

A 61-year-old man was killed and another man in his 60s is in the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford with serious injuries.

The Health and Safety Executive said: "We are aware of an incident and (are) making enquiries alongside Thames Valley Police."

Wendy Smith, managing director at Lantmännen Unibake said: "We are deeply shocked and saddened by this terrible incident, and our thoughts and deepest sympathies are with those affected and their families. 

"We are offering support to all employees across the business affected by this."

A Thames Valley Police spokesman said: "Sadly, a 61-year-old man has died. His next of kin have been informed and offered support by officers."
