Strictly Come Dancing’s Dianna Buswell has revealed she was left bruised after her routine last Saturday.

The professional and her celebrity partner Bobby Brazier opened up the second live show with a Charleston routine which was full of impressive moves.

Speaking to Janette Manrara on It Takes Two, the BBC host mentioned one move in particular called a barrel roll.

Highlighting that judge Craig Revel Horwood was also impressed, she asked Bobby how hard it was for him to figure out how to do it properly.

He confessed: “I’ve only just worked out what the barrel roll was! It’s when I stepped over you isn’t it?”

Playing a clip of the moment Janette was referring to, Dianne was also taken aback as she confessed to not knowing what it was called.

She said: “I’ve actually never seen this done before, I mean we were both a bit bruised and battered weren’t we?

“Bless Bobby’s leg and my shoulder, but we tried this over and over and over again, to the point we didn’t practise it before we went out.”

Their performance managed to put them fifth on the leaderboard with a total score of 29.

However, all could change this Saturday as the pair tackle a Samba to the song Young Hearts Run Free from the film Romeo and Juliet.

Teasing what viewers can expect in their upcoming routine, Bobby revealed he’s been learning the shimmy.

He said: “At 11.40 last night, I was in my kitchen I was in my ballroom shoes and my pants. I was looking in the reflection of the kitchen doors shimmying.

“I had a moment where I looked at myself and I was like, ‘What is going on?!'”

Will Bobby and Dianne’s upcoming performance be enough to put them at the top of the leaderboard?

Currently at number one are Layton Williams and Nikita Kuzmin with a score of 36 after they blew the judges away with their Quickstep.

Sadly, viewers said goodbye to presenter Les Dennis last week as he became the first celebrity to leave the competition.

Strictly Come Dancing committees Saturday on BBC One from 6.20pm.
