Awards season kicks off on January 7, 2023 with the 81st Golden Globes awards held by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association.

The first major gong ceremony gives movie fans and industry pundits the first good idea of who could be up for Oscars in March.

Barbenheimer’s rematch returns as Barbie leads the Golden Globe nominations with nine nods to Oppenheimer’s eight.

Meanwhile, Killers of the Flower Moon and Poor Things are joint third with seven nominations each.
