A Deal Or No Deal player missed out on the Banker’s biggest offer after she decided to accept a smaller amount to ensure that she walked away with enough for a family break to celebrate her parents’ wedding anniversary, but she insisted that she wasn’t sad.
Alicia, who is a supervisor in a sausage factory, had explained that it’s not just her money it’s her family’s also as she accepted £4,100.
However, at the end of the show, it was revealed that the box she had been holding held a life-changing £50,000.
Although the audience groaned Alicia insisted that she was OK. “I’m not sad,” she said. “I think I would have been more sad if I took all the reds out and had gone home with a blue. So I’m OK.”
The dramatic climax came after a nail-biting game in which Alicia had remained laser-focused on getting enough to pay for the longed-for family holiday.

Asked by host Stephen Mulhern what she would spend any winnings on Alicia, who had become emotional earlier admitting that she missed her family when a picture of them was shown on screen, revealing that she was doing this for them.
“We really want our bathroom doing and the kids have never been abroad so I’d love to take them to Disneyland Paris or somewhere,” she said.
She went on to reveal that her parents’ 30th wedding anniversary was also imminent and admitted that she’d love to take the whole family, including her siblings and their partners away to a lodge to celebrate that.
Her fellow players all offered words of encouragement as they opened the boxes she requested and she was playing well although she lost the £100,000 jackpot halfway through the game.
She then lost the next highest prize of £75,000 leading the banker to make an offer of £1,900. While Stephen told her it would get her a nice little holiday her mother, who was in the audience encouraged her to say no.

She eventually accepted an offer of £4,100 as it was enough to pay for what she wanted however there was one more twist to come as the banker decided to stir things up.
She played through the game to its conclusion and when she hit a point where there was only £7,500 or £50,000 left in the boxes he called through to admit that he would have made his highest offer ever this series of £31,500.
Alicia’s nerve-wracking game came just a day after viewers slammed another contestant for taking too long to pick the boxes.
Karen hoped to walk away with enough money to visit the Northern Lights. However, she kept taking a relatively long time to select the boxes throughout the episode before she settled with the banker on £3,200.
