Sir Alex Ferguson can't stop winning with horses and Paul Nicholls picks out Man Utd icon's runner as best Saturday bet | The Sun
December 8, 2023SIR Alex Ferguson can't stop banging in winners on the racecourse – and Paul Nicholls reckons the Man Utd legend could have a nice Christmas treat for punters tomorrow.
Sir Alex was celebrating the best racing winner of his life just last month when Spirit Dancer scooped the £500,000 jackpot in the Bahrain International Trophy.
Attention turns to his runners over the jumps now.

And 14-time champion trainer Nicholls reckons one of Sir Alex's runners has the best chance of any of his runners on Saturday.
Isaac Des Obeaux is a relative of the awesome Clan Des Obeaux and was a rampant six-length winner when last seen.
Sir Alex, who owns the Chepstow runner with two others, could be celebrating another tasty payday if the horse runs to form, says Nicholls.
He told Betfair: "I was thrilled with the manner of his victory on his second start over hurdles at this track last month.
"He had learned plenty from his debut, led from the third flight and was in total command in the last half mile.
"He continues to thrive and though he has to carry a penalty it helps that jockey Angus Cheleda can claim a valuable 5lbs.

The chaser will have to reverse form with 7-4 fav JPR One in the Betfair Henry VIII Novices' Chase but the Ditcheat boss reckons it's more than doable.
He said: "He is back at the scene of his brilliant success in the Imperial Cup in March.
"He was always going to be a chaser and made a lovely start over fences with a cosy success at Newton Abbot early in October, before finishing third giving plenty of weight to two decent horses at the same track three weeks later.
"I don’t think he was quite right that day, perhaps I ran him a bit too soon, and I’ve put a line though that run.
"He is fine now and I’ve always had this Grade 1 Chase in mind for him. Nice chance."
