Bookies slash odds of Frankie Dettori winning I'm A Celeb after full line-up is revealed | The Sun

BOOKIES have slashed Frankie Dettori's odds of winning I'm A Celebrity after the 52-year-old jockey was confirmed in the full line-up.

The world's most famous rider will join the likes of firebrand politician Nigel Farage, former boxer Tony Bellew and Masterchef star Grace Dent in the jungle.

But nervy bookies are already fearing Dettori being a big hit with the public.

And Coral have halved his odds from to 5-1 from 10-1 to be crowned winner.

His fellow sporting star and ex-cruiserweight champ Bellew is 12-1.

Coral's David Stevens said: "Frankie Dettori is still doing his day job of riding big winners on the track as well as ever, but now it seems he's set for the I'm A Celeb line up as well.

"Given his previous history of hitting the bookies, we're taking no chances with his odds of being crowned King of the Jungle."

Dettori performed a stunning retirement U-turn just last month after originally saying he would hang up his whip at the end of the year.

He travelled down to Australia earlier this week to take in the Melbourne Cup.

The Italian dad-of-five will now stay there to compete in the ITV show after The Sun revealed the full line-up.

Dettori will return to America later in the year, where he will race full-time.

The jockey is no stranger to reality TV having competed in Celebrity Big Brother in 2013 after he had lost his job with racing powerhouse Godolphin following a failed drugs test.

Dettori finished seventh among the housemates after being nominated for eviction three times and riding former footballer Neil 'Razor' Ruddock like a horse.

The jockey also captained a side on Question of Sport from 2002 to 2004 and presented Top of the Pops.
