Officers executed a search warrant at a home in Orton Goldhay, Peterborough on November 14 after it had been suspected that the property was being used as a cannabis factory.
As officers entered the property, Petku and Muca climbed into the loft and up on to the roof through a hatch.
Responding officers persuaded the pair to come back inside the home, where they were then arrested on suspicion of producing cannabis, The Peterborough Telegraph reported.
The court heard that multiple rooms within the home had been converted to grow cannabis, causing ‘extensive’ damage to the property.
‘The destruction that had happened to that house in order for it to be changed into a cannabis factory is extensive and will cost the homeowner a substantial amount for it to be restored,’ Det Con Matthew Walker, who investigated, said.
‘Cannabis factories are an issue to all communities, we as a force are continually working on tackling and disrupting them to ensure the drugs are taken off the streets and the people involved are brought to justice, anyone with information or concerns about drugs should report it to us.’
The pair were sentenced to six months in prison on November 29.
