Vanessa Feltz addresses Philip Schofield I’m A Celeb rumours after This Morning exit
October 31, 2023Vanessa Feltz has addressed the rumours that Philip Schofield is set to appear on I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here later this year.
Sixty one year old Phillip has been linked with the reality TV show after his shock departure from This Morning.
He admitted to having an affair with a much younger colleague and as a result left ITV completely, with his next move yet to be confirmed.
However, as the return of I’m A Celebrity moves ever closer, a whole host of famous faces are linked with the show, and Phillip is one of those who could be heading into the jungle.
His former colleague Vanessa, 61, has exclusively told OK! that she would be “flabbergasted” if he decided to take on the challenge.
Back in August, Phillip broke his cover following the This Morning scandal to join his old pal Vanessa for a catch-up dinner. They were spotted laughing and smiling as they emerged from a restaurant in West London, called Little Bird.
Chatting to us at the London Lifestyle Awards 2023 at Grosvenor House in London, Vanessa said: “I don’t know anything about it at all.
“I would be absolutely flabbergasted if that were true.”
Another famous face linked with I’m A Celeb this year is former politician Nigel Farage, and Vanessa thinks that it is “much” more likely that he will be in the jungle rather than Phillip.
She explained: “Nigel Farage, much more likely, Philip Schofield, I would say put your money on him going nowhere near the place.”
However, the rumours don’t stop there, as Phillip has also been linked with a stint in the Big Brother house when the celebrity version of the show makes a comeback.
Vanessa also addressed those rumours as she said: “I wouldn’t put any money on that either. I think absolutely not to both of those.”
The official line-up for the new series of I’m A Celebrity is set to be announced in the coming weeks, and ahead of that, a source told The Sun that soap legend Nick Pickard has been signed up.
They said: “Tony from Hollyoaks – as Nick will always happily be known as – is an absolute soap legend and a huge signing for I'm A Celeb.
“Soap stars always do brilliantly on the show because they come with a loyal following and they don't come more down-to-earth and likeable than Nick.
“He would be fantastic and make great telly if he makes the final cut. Of course, Hollyoaks was recently moved online by Channel 4, so it comes at a helpful time for the soap too, helping introduce that younger online audience to Nick via I'm A Celeb's huge reach.”
