Strictly Come Dancing star Nigel Harman has been spotted kissing Katya Jones during rehearsals for the show.

The dancing duo have been setting the dance floor on fire in recent weeks on the glitzy BBC One show. So much so, that they have marked themselves as strong contenders to bag this year's Glitterball trophy.

However, much like every year, speculation is rife that Nigel and Katya could be a thing. Rumours have circulated that their chemistry on the show could be a sign of something more romantic.

Nigel, who has been married to actress Lucy Liemann since 2011, has since dismissed claims of a romance. Speaking to Metro, he laughed off the idea that the Strictly ‘curse’ is affecting him.

But this week, Nigel and Katya were snapped looking rather cosy after finishing dance rehearsals in West London. In the pictures, Nigel can be seen giving Katya a kiss on the face while embracing for a cuddle.

Appearing cosy, the duo looked like the picture of happiness during the steamy PDA. After finishing their Saturday night routine, the pair left the studio with a big smile on their faces.

Last Saturday (November 18), the remaining celebs hit the famous BBC One dance floor for the iconic Blackpool week. During the episode, Ellie Leach and Vito Coppola danced a Charleston to Love Machine by Girls Aloud.

While Layton Williams and Nikita Kuzmin performed a Couple's Choice to Ain't No Other Man by Christina Aguilera and Annabel Croft and Johannes Radebe did an American Smooth to Unchained Melody by Benedetta Caretta.

In other performances, Bobby Brazier and Dianne Buswell jived to Wake Me Up Before You Go Go by Wham! And Angela Rippon and Kai Widdrington performed an American Smooth to Tea for Two by Ella Fitzgerald.

As for Nigel Harman and Katya Jones, they quickstepped to It Don't Mean a Thing (If It Ain't Got That Swing) by Duke Ellington and Angela Scanlon and Carlos Gu danced the Argentine Tango to Back To Black by Amy Winehouse.

Ultimately it was Angela Rippon who became the ninth contestant to be eliminated from the competition. During the episode, the TV presenter, 79, and Kai found themselves in the dreaded dance-off. This week the pair went head-to-head with EastEnders star Bobby Brazier and his dance partner Dianne Buswell.

After both couples had danced a second time, the judges delivered their verdicts with Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, Anton Du Beke and Shirley Ballas unanimously choosing to save Bobby and Dianne.

After Tess delivered the news, Angela thanked her dance partner for the joyous experience. She said: "The person who has to get the most credit is this gentleman here.

"I keep telling him he's an old soul on young shoulders. He's 28 and I'm 79 so there's a 51 year difference in our age but he has looked after me so brilliantly.

"He's a wonderful dancer, a great choreographer, but most of all, he's a terrific teacher. And he has the patience of a saint, he really does.

Poor Kai was overcome with emotion and started welling up. But Angela didn't want to see him upset as she told him: "Don't you dare cry."

"All I can say is that he got me here and he and his partner Nadiya are in every sense of the word, beautiful people. And I am so pleased to have you in my life."

Kai delivered an equally gushing tribute to the TV legend. He said: "Since week one when I met this amazing woman, you know as she said, I wasn't even born when she did Come Dancing.

"I had to ask my parents about this amazing Morecambe and Wise moment that was so famous. And like Angela just said, there's a 50-year age gap between us but I feel like l've known her for fifty years.

"We're like mates and I'm so proud of you, you should be proud of yourself and it's been my absolute honour and pleasure to dance with you, especially in this beautiful ballroom tonight."
