PAUL Hollywood’s son Josh, 21, skipped his famous dad’s wedding to pub landlady Melissa Spalding amid rumours of a ‘rift’ between them.

The 57-year-old TV favourite wed the 39-year-old a hotel in Cyprus surrounded by their nearest and dearest – including Paul’s Bake Off co-host Prue Leith.

The couple wed at the Anassa Hotel and Melissa’s family were in attendance.

But Paul’s son Josh, from his first marriage to Alex, didn’t attend and a friend told the DailyMail: “Josh did not go.”

Back in 2019 it was reported that the Bake Off star’s son hadn't spoken to his father since he walked out on his mum Alexandra in November 2017.

At the time it was reported that he’d repeatedly ignored texts from his dad Paul, who had sent him gifts to try and win back his affections.

The teenager stood by his mum after she was left heartbroken by Paul who left her for barmaid Summer Monteys-Fullam.

She had previously taken him back after an affair with Marcela Valladolid, his co-host on The American Baking competition.

The couple reconciled a few months afterwards as he described the incident as "the biggest mistake of my life" before he met Summer in their local pub.

A spokesman for Alexandra told the newspaper at the time: "Paul hasn't seen his son since November 2017 and the split has been deeply distressing to him.

"Paul is aware of his son's feelings on the matter.

"Alex would never normally comment but on this occasion it is important that the truth is known and that Josh is protected.

"Josh has behaved admirably over the past two years and has only ever made Alex proud during very difficult times with all the newspaper articles about his father."

Paul has now remarried and, according to the MailOnline, the bash started in the afternoon with a ceremony before a party late into the night.

Paul lived in Cyprus during the 1990s and previously worked at the venue's sister hotel as head baker.

They were joined by 75 guests, including Prue, who enjoyed a break at the hotel prior to the wedding.

A source said: “It was a very tasteful and stylish wedding and the hotel management really pulled out all the stops to make it a memorable day. There was a very lively party with loud music and lots of drinking that went on until late into the night.

“Paul is very close to the hotel owners and they made sure that everybody had a great time. He loves Cyprus and it was a wonderful setting for what was a beautiful occasion.”

The Bake Off judge has been dating the landlady since 2019, after he split with Summer.
