ITV I’m A Celeb’s Fred Sirieix’s First Dates co-stars say he’ll be ‘so upset’ by Nella Rose row
November 25, 2023First Dates stars Cici Coleman and Laura Tott have had their say on the I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! drama involving their co-star, Fred Sirieix.
Fred, 51, has been at the centre of the jungle drama this week as he clashed with YouTube star Nella Rose.
Nella got upset with Fred after he said he could be her dad because of their age gap, but due to the fact that both Nella’s parents have sadly passed away, she took offence to the comment.
Fred apologised to the 26 year old once he realised she was upset at his words, but Nella told him that she didn’t want to be friends anymore and didn't want to speak in camp.
Now, Laura and Cici have weighed in, saying that he would be “upset” by the fact he had offended Nella.
The duo appeared on This Morning today, Thursday, 23 November to talk all things I’m A Celeb, and they revealed that Fred would have taken it personally.
Speaking to hosts Rylan and Alison Hammond, Cici said: “Look, you are in a pressure cooker, right, you are with ten people constantly, you're not sleeping, you're not eating, there's a lot going on, so I think this kind of behaviour is going to happen.
“They are going to have moments where things are misconstrued, misunderstood, and it's normal, these will happen.”
While Laura added: “I think it was just a misunderstanding, I think it's really sad how it happened, and it was so hard to watch.
“I was sitting there like oh god, my heart broke for him, because I know how personal he would of taken that, he’s going to be so upset that he thinks he’s offended her, that’s what’s going to eat him up.”
While I’m A Celebrity viewers have been left divided over the Nella and Fred drama, Nella’s pal Indiyah Polack has defended her.
Appearing on Lorraine on Wednesday 22 November, the former Love Island star said: “From what I know of Nella, she's a very bright, bubbly person, and she wears her heart on her sleeve, she speaks her mind.
“I don't think Fred had any malicious intent, but again, none of us are Nella. We're not in a sweaty jungle, we're not being bitten by ants and eating rice and beans.
"I feel like in that environment, it's very easy for things to be blown out or taken the wrong way."
