Bobby broken as Ian exposes Freddie and Anna's night of passion in EastEnders
August 28, 2023Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) is set to do what Ian Beale does best in upcoming EastEnders scenes, as he blurts out a secret that leaves Bobby Beale (Clay Milner Russell) devastated.
Bobby has had a crush on Anna Knight (Molly Rainford), ever since she arrived in Walford, and recently his heart soared as they shared a kiss.
However, things will take a dramatic turn when Anna’s mum crawls out of the woodwork after nine years, and leave everyone gobsmacked as they realise she is the once-dead Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins).
This will leave Bobby rattled, as he wonders how Anna will react to him, knowing now that it was her sister that he killed.

He is right to be concerned, as Anna and Freddie Slater (Bobby Brazier) soon head to the chippy together.
The following week, Freddie struggles with his guilt following the events of that night, though it is clear that there are sparks flying between him and Anna.
Unsure of what to do, Freddie confides in flatmate Alfie Moon (Shane Richie), who reveals that he needs to keep his actions a secret from Bobby if he wants to protect their friendship.
Later, Peter Beale (Thomas Law) senses the tension between Anna and Bobby, and attempts to help them repair their relationship.
Consumed by guilt after sleeping with Anna, Freddie excuses himself and sits somewhere else.
Elsewhere, Ian has a heart to heart with Alfie about the insecurities he is facing, and the topic soon turns to Ian’s concerns for Bobby and Anna’s relationship.
It isn’t long before Alfie reveals all about her one night stand with Freddie, before swearing Ian to secrecy.
Ian agrees to keep quiet, before heading over to the Vic.
However, once he gets there, he is faced by love-rival George Knight (Colin Salmon).
When George belittles him, he retaliates by revealing Anna and Freddie’s night of passion.
This is quick to backfire, as Bobby and Cindy overhear.
How will they react?
