Strictly Come Dancing’s crew ‘are struggling to film Layton Williams due to star’s revealing rehearsal attire’

The Strictly Come Dancing crew are reportedly ‘struggling’ to film Layton Williams on the show due to his ‘revealing’ clothes.

The actor, 29, who has received heaps of praise on his Movie Week dance by viewers on Saturday, has allegedly been told to cover up more instead of wearing skimpy clothes.

But despite being slammed by the crew for his choice of outfits, Layton is continuing to serve his usual looks.

According to The Mirror, he said: ‘I keep getting told by the camera crew to wear more clothes.

‘In the training room, they’re like “We’re seeing a lot of things.” But this is how I feel comfortable. I’ve got my jock strap on, it’s the BBC.

‘But everything is nice and tight and together.’

MailOnline have contacted Strictly Come Dancing for a comment.

On Saturday Layton and his professional dance partner Nikita Kuzmin danced the Viennese Waltz to There Are Worse Things I Could Do from Grease.

Layton dressed in drag as he sported a bright pink top, inspired by Grease’s Pink Ladies, and a black skirt for the ballroom dance.

His vibrant shirt had ‘Rizzo’ stitched across the front as he got into character as the iconic character from the smash hit 1978 movie.

Meanwhile, Nikita, 25, opted for an all-black outfit and styled his locks in a 70s quiff as he channeled John Travolta’s Danny Zuko.

Reacting to Layton’s costume, viewers took to X – formerly known as Twitter – to heap praise on him for dancing in drag and described the moment as ‘iconic’.

One wrote: ‘Layton is drag!!! Iconic! In Love #Strictly,’ and another said: ‘Yes to drag on #Strictly. Leyton is incredible.’

A third tweeted: ‘Layton was A-MA-ZING,’ and a fourth said: ‘We love you Layton!’

Some viewers also criticised the ‘picky’ judges for not giving Layton enough points, after the dance number secured him and Nikita just 28 points out of 40.

It comes after Layton topped the leaderboard with 36 points during week two, after nabbing 29 points during the first week.

Commenting on the scores, one said: ‘Layton was done DIRTY with those scores.’

Another wrote: ‘Giving Layton & Zara the same score… makes sense Anton,’ and a third added: ‘HOW has anton just given Layton the same score as he gave Angela, PLEASEEEE someone explain that to me.’

Last week, Layton was the glowing star of Strictly’s second live show as he made history scoring 36 points.
