On Thursday morning, the dancer, 38, revealed to his 3.2 million Instagram followers that his spouse, who he wed in August,\u00a0suffered from a possibly life-threatening, complication of head trauma, which causes blood to accumulate ‘within the brain or between the brain and the skull,’ according to Mayo Clinic.<\/p>\n
‘At the end of last night’s tout performance in Washington, D.C., my wife Hayley became disoriented and was taken to the hospital,’ he wrote. ‘She was diagnosed with a cranial hematoma from a burst blood vessel and required an emergency craniectomy. She is in stable condition.’<\/p>\n
‘I want to thank the first responders and medical personnel who have cared for and continue to care for her. I ask for your prayers and positivity during this time,’ Hough added.<\/p>\n

Erbert’s medical emergency comes almost a year exactly after her and\u00a0Hough were involved in a\u00a0a ‘scary’ car crash.<\/p>\n
At the time, she told her social media followers they had been in a ‘pretty scary car accident in the mountains’ on December 12, 2022.\u00a0<\/p>\n
She went on to describe the terrifying elements of their crash: ‘Our accident involved a steep hill, icy roads, a tree, and worst of all, the fear that we would slide off the mountain.’\u00a0<\/p>\n
‘The scariest part was that Hayley doesn\u2019t remember anything,’ Derek shared in the comments section, at the time. ‘She was dazed afterwards, being cheerful saying we should keep going to dinner as blood ran down her face.’<\/p>\n

‘He’s definitely going to cry. I know that for a fact,’ Derek’s wife joked before the ceremony.<\/p>\n
She added that, ‘Honestly, both of us. We’re going to be a mess!’<\/p>\n
The rehearsal dinner was just as elegant as the ceremony itself, with the wedding guests being wined and dined in Carmel first for a welcome dinner, followed by a rehearsal dinner the next day, with many details planned by the brunette beauty herself.<\/p>\n
