Rest in peace my love."<\/p>\n A friend of the bodybuilder told Generation Iron that "it was supposed to be a pretty simple surgery but there were complications."<\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n Fellow bodybuilder Ricardo Alexandre Martins Correia, who was at the hospital<\/span> said there was "nothing the doctors could do" to save his friend.<\/p>\n He said: "Chris needed the surgery but sadly had a stroke. <\/p>\n "They tried to prevent the bleeding from getting serious haemorrhage and then he had an unusual heart attack. The body went into shock."<\/p>\n He added: "Sadly, there are things beyond our control.
