Veteran emcee Kendrick Lamar<\/b> led this year’s BET Hip Hop Awards<\/i> winners with four victories.<\/p>\n
Lamar won the awards for “Hip Hop Artist of the Year,” “Lyricist of the Year,” “Best Live Performer” and “Video Director of the Year” alongside Dave Free<\/b>.<\/p>\n
Lil Uzi Vert<\/b> and Metro Boomin<\/b> tied with two wins each, while Lil Durk<\/b> and J. Cole<\/b> also received two awards for their collaboration “All My Life.”<\/p>\n
Drake & 21 Savage also won “Hip Hop Album of the Year” for Her Loss<\/i> as well as “Best Duo or Group.”<\/p>\n
Bronx native Ice Spice<\/b> was crowned this year’s “Best Breakthrough Hip Hop Artist,” while Blak Sherif<\/b> made his home of Ghana proud, accepting the “Best International Flow” award.<\/p>\n
The 2023 BET Hip Hop Awards, hosted by Fat Joe<\/b>, also featured thrilling performances by artists, including GloRilla<\/b>, Sexyy Red<\/b>, T.I.<\/b>, and Jezzy<\/b>.<\/p>\n
Superstar producers and “Verzuz” founders Swizz Beat<\/b>z and Timbaland<\/b> accepted the Rock The Bells Cultural Influence Award for their cultural contributions to the genre. The pair later presented hip hop pioneer Marley Marl<\/b> with the “I Am Hip Hop Award.”<\/p>\n
