<\/p>\nViewers of The Chase hit out following Thursday's (September 28) installment of the ITV game show after three contestants failed to make it to the final chase. <\/p>\n
Facing Chaser, Darragh Ennis on the Bradley Walsh-hosted programme were contestants Azad, Kirsty, Tom and Lisa. It soon became apparent, however, that the foursome would struggle against 'The Menace' following a string of difficult questions that saw Azad and Kirsty fall by the wayside in a matter of minutes.<\/p>\n
Tom faired a little better, meanwhile, making it through with \u00a34,000 to play for, but like Azad and Kirsty, Lisa proved no match for Irishman Ennis. The final chase saw train manager from Bristol, Tom see his dreams of winning enough cash for a family holiday to Lapland dashed though, as again, Ennis came out on top without really breaking sweat.<\/p>\n

After he was dismissed by Walsh with zero winnings, fans took to X, formerly Twitter to complain that questions are becoming "ridiculously difficult" making the show "pointless." Some were also quick to beg for a shake-up of the quiz show. <\/p>\n

One viewer moaned: "The Chase needs a shake up or viewers are not going to watch. No one wants to watch one useless player in the final. So, either better contestants or easier questions needed to save this show. <\/b> #TheChase."<\/p>\n
Another declared: "THIS PROGRAMME IS BECOMING POINTLESS <\/b> #TheChase." A third pondered: "#TheChase Running out of money? I've never seen such a strange set of questions for 3 on the trot…. too many are those ridiculous 'they'll have to guess' type. You've a chance, but not much of one. If the last set are like that, they don't want any of that winning nonsense."<\/p>\n
A fourth simply wrote: "It's hard to watch." Whilst a fifth asked whether the contestants' failure was down to their lack of general knowledge rather than questions being made tougher by ITV bosses. "Are people getting thicker or the questions getting harder? <\/b>#TheChase," they added.<\/p>\n

It follows another viewer complaint last week that saw an "unfair rule" allow a contestant to play for a share of a \u00a390,100 jackpot despite banking just \u00a3100 in her cash-builder. Chaser Paul Sinha offered Meera the choice of playing for her initial \u00a31,000 winnings, or a high of \u00a355,000 and the low risk \u00a3100.<\/p>\n
Opting for the latter, Meera progressed to compete for the collective sum of Katie's \u00a34,000 and Gavin's huge \u00a386,000 as the three made it through. Fans immediately demanded there be a rule change as a result, with one declaring: "There should be some twist added to #thechase were the rest of the team or the high offer takers get to decide\/vote whether the low offer takers get an equal share or just what they've earned or even nothing. Like a Golden Balls type twist at the end."<\/p>\n

And another agreed: "There should be a vote or something she does not deserve to take home a big share of that amazing jackpot!!" The final chase was tense but after a series of lost opportunities to push back the chaser and someone answering out of turn, the team lost their money just just one second to spare. <\/p>\n
"Gutted for Gavin but, glad Meera didn't win \u00a330k. She didn't deserve it," one fan blasted afterwards. <\/p>\n
