<\/p>\nFOR the past few Black Fridays in a row, the Nintendo Switch has been one of the most sought-after game consoles on the market.<\/p>\n
As shoppers rush to snap one up as the perfect gift for gamers, it's no wonder everyone is searching for the best Nintendo Black Friday deals.<\/p>\n

Undoubtedly the most significant shopping event on the calendar, Black Friday is the time to get your favourite pieces of tech at a discount.<\/p>\n
Falling just before the Christmas period, it's a good chance for you to pick up a big treat for yourself, or as the ultimate find for a gamer that you love.<\/p>\n
If you have your heart set on a Nintendo Switch (or you're planning on buying one as a gift) it could be worth keeping an eye on stock levels of the popular console as it has sold out ahead of Christmas in the past.<\/p>\n
That's less likely these days now that there are a few more versions of the console available, but because there are a couple of big game releases coming up (looking at you Pokemon Scarlet and Violet), maybe don't leave this purchase to the last minute to avoid disappointment.<\/p>\n
Black Friday falls on November 24 this year, so time to set your reminders.<\/p>\n
It was traditionally seen as a holiday for Americans, celebrated the day after Thanksgiving.<\/p>\n
However, in recent years, the shopping extravaganza is very much a global affair with retailers in every corner of the world taking part.<\/p>\n
<\/span><\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n <\/span><\/p>\n Nintendo has previously had deals for various Switch bundles and accessories in the past.<\/p>\n We expect them to take part again this year, although many retailers that stock the Switch will sometimes have their own small price reductions on Nintendo stock they have left over.<\/p>\n You'll find the Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch OLED and Nintendo Switch Lite are all available online from a wide number of UK stores:<\/p>\n In the States, the Switch is also available at an extensive number of online retailers – but keep in mind, that availability for the new OLED model is very touch and go at the moment.<\/p>\n Nintendo Switch deals for Black Friday are usually the best on bundles, so ideal if you're looking for the complete package. These of course cost more than the console itself, but solo consoles tend to be harder to get your hands on around the sale season.<\/p>\n Last year's discounts saw the Mario Kart 8 bundle, reduced to \u00a3259 instead of \u00a3299, with some very rare minor discounts on the OLED model too.<\/p>\n This year Cyber Monday is on November 27, this is always the Monday straight after Black Friday.<\/p>\n You'll find some of the best deals on Cyber Monday, although, recently retailers have been extending sales into early December. <\/p>\n Cyber Monday sales are usually online only, which gives customers a final chance to bag a bargain for Christmas shopping.<\/p>\n It's hard to tell exactly what accessories will be on sale this year, but we do know that accessories are usually the first in the category to drop in price.<\/p>\n There's a strong likelihood that Nintendo Switch SD cards will figure highly in the sales too.<\/p>\n Don't take Black Friday at its name: in reality, it's so much longer than a day-long or even weekend-long sale. <\/p>\n In previous years, deals started to appear online a week or even a fortnight or more ahead of the big day, with retailers eager to draw in punters before their rivals beat them to it. <\/p>\n What we're particularly hopeful for this year is that the Nintendo Switch OLED will be included in the various deals and discounts we see online.<\/p>\n It's a good bet to expect the Nintendo Switch to drop in price come Black Friday. It's not impossible prices will fall before that of course.<\/p>\n In previous years, we've seen small deals on the console during the sale period, discounts are likely to be modest, so don't expect any half-price announcements!<\/p>\n In previous years for Black Friday, we've seen the standard Nintendo Switch fall to \u00a3229, and we're keeping our fingers crossed it will drop even lower for 2023. <\/p>\n eBay also offered further discounts on their Refurbished Switch models.<\/p>\n Cyber Monday follows the week after Black Friday and these days, most retailers roll a version of their Black Friday sale over the weekend. <\/p>\n We'd expect that if there are good deals to be found on the Nintendo Switch, they will still be available while stocks last on Cyber Monday.<\/p>\n This depends on where you order your Switch from, but most retailers will offer free delivery for such a high-priced item.<\/p>\n You're unlikely to find deals on the Nintendo Switch directly from Nintendo outside of the sale season.<\/p>\n However, places like Amazon and eBay may run their own promotional deals which will see you get slightly more off on a new or refurbished model.<\/p>\n First released back in 2017, the Nintendo Switch is the latest console from Nintendo, with the OLED model of the Switch being released late in 2021. <\/p>\n It functions both as a handheld console that you can take with you on your travels and as a console, you can plug into a dock and play on your TV. <\/p>\n It boasts a host of exclusive Nintendo titles, including Mario, Pokemon and Animal Crossing. Since its release it's been immensely popular, sometimes leading to stock shortages around key buying times, such as Christmas.<\/p>\n The Nintendo Switch OLED costs \u00a3309.99, a slight increase on the regular Switch console.<\/p>\n It might not be worth the upgrade if you primarily play your console through your TV though, as the OLED console isn't set to improve performance in that area.<\/p>\n Whereas the standard Nintendo Switch can be used both at home with your TV or on the go as a portable console, the Nintendo Switch Lite is solely a handheld console. <\/p>\n Funnily enough, the Lite is… a bit lighter, and it also has a slightly smaller screen and smaller battery capacity. <\/p>\n The Lite will play any regular Switch game just as long as it supports Handheld Mode.<\/p>\n The Nintendo Switch is an excellent piece of tech and one that enjoys a six-year-old reputation on the market – but whether it's worth buying depends on the sort of gaming you are planning on doing. <\/p>\n Given its hybrid portability, the Switch is aimed at children, families and commuters, but has plenty of appeal for traditional gamers too thanks to Nintendo's stable of exclusive game series, including Mario and Pokemon.<\/p>\n That depends on the model you're planning to buy. The standard, first-generation Nintendo Switch (which was released in 2017) is currently around \u00a3260 online at various retailers.<\/p>\n For the newer, higher-spec Nintendo Switch OLED, you can expect to pay\u00a0\u00a3300 on Amazon right now. We've seen stock issues plague this updated version of the Switch since its release in October 2021, but at the time of writing, it's more or less widely available. <\/p>\n That being said, that could easily change during the frantic Black Friday period, so it's worth keeping an eye on retailers and their reported stock levels. <\/p>\n For the lighter-spec Nintendo Switch Lite, you will\u00a0spend around \u00a3190 on Amazon, depending on the colour.<\/p>\n There are two different ways to charge a Nintendo Switch controller.<\/p>\n The first is by attaching them to the Joy-Con charging grip, which itself attached to the Switch dock via USB cable, which will then charge them both. <\/p>\n Alternatively, you can attach the controllers to the console itself and charge the controllers that way.<\/p>\n One irritating drawback to the by-and-large fantastic Nintendo Switch is that it doesn't come with built-in Bluetooth support. <\/p>\n This means you can't directly connect your Bluetooth headphones to the console – however, you can pick up a\u00a0USB-C to Bluetooth adaptor, or look out for a pair of headphones that come with an adaptor included.<\/p>\n It's not as easy to stream on the Nintendo Switch when compared to other consoles – but yes, you can use it to watch purchased TV and movies. <\/p>\n In order to do this, you'll need to sync your Google Play or iTunes accounts to the Switch to watch this content.<\/p>\n Yes, the Switch Lite can play any of the portable-compatible games you can play on the standard Switch console. <\/p>\n For more detailed info on how the two consoles compare, head to our\u00a0Nintendo Switch vs Nintendo Switch Lite\u00a0explainer – it covers everything from price to design to specs.<\/p>\n![](\"https:\/\/www.thesun.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/Untitled-1.jpg\")
