Conor McGregor<\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong>believes the shooter in Tennessee could\u2019ve been stopped before anyone was hurt IF the building was better protected \u2026 and that\u2019s why the UFC superstar believes armed guards are necessary in American schools.<\/p>\n \u201cI would like to see armed protection at each school,\u201d 34-year-old McGregor wrote on social media.<\/p>\n Of course, six people \u2014 three children (9-year-olds) and three adults \u2014 were shot and killed on Monday at The Covenant School when a 28-year-old\u00a0entered the building<\/strong>\u00a0and went on a murderous rampage before police heroically\u00a0stopped the shooter<\/strong>, who died at the scene.<\/p>\n McGregor, a dad of three who spends a lot of time in the States and is currently in Orlando, says \u201cI have had my children at school here while stateside and have had my own armed guard present at the school. This was prior to the most recent school shooting also.\u201d<\/p>\n Conor continued \u2026 \u201cIf she shot her way in to that school from the outside, my guard, who is tucked away, armed and unseen, would have seen her and taken her down. Saving those children\u2019s lives.\u201d<\/p>\n Many schools have Resource Officers \u2014 typically retired cops \u2014 stationed at schools, but not always. There have also been fatal shootings at schools where armed security was present.<\/p>\n The Covenant shooting is simply the latest in a long line of horrific attacks \u2026 and has sparked debate among Americans \u2014 how do we protect our kids?<\/p>\n There are a lot of different proposed solutions \u2026 from banning guns to arming teachers. Conor believes the answer is armed guards.<\/p>\n \u201cMay God and his best people on this earth protect our children! \u2764 \ud83d\ude4f\u201d<\/p>\n
