Who was Flamur ‘Alex’ Beqiri? Brother of RHOC star Misse Beqiri killed on Christmas Eve – The Sun

January 23, 2020

FLAMUR Beqiri hit the headlines on Christmas Eve when he was murdered in front of his young son and wife at their £1.5million house in Battersea.

The tragic murder was suspicious from the outset, with detectives investigating the possibility of him having gangland links from the beginning.

Who is Flamur Beqiri?

Flamur "Alex" Beqiri, 36, was a Swedish national with Albanian roots who is now suspected of being a drug kingpin.

The Beqiri family moved from Albania to Sweden when he was a child.

British murder squad detectives have been liaising with Swedish colleagues and believe Beqiri was caught up in a gang war with North African criminals.

He ran a record company in London called 2020rec and lead an extravagant lifestyle including holding a lavish Lake Como wedding in October 2018.

It has since emerged that he was once one of Sweden’s most wanted men and knew several victims of recent gangland slayings in Malmo, Sweden.

Beqiri’s best friend was convicted robber Naief Adawi, who was targeted by a gunman who murdered his doctor wife Karolin Hakim instead as she held their two-month-old baby in Malmo in August 2019.

Sources also told MailOnline that Beqiri left Sweden in 2016 due to "death threats".

Scotland Yard has reportedly confirmed it is examining whether Beqiri was killed in retribution for any criminal past.

Beqiri is thought to have had close connections to major figures in Malmo’s underworld, including two that are currently feuding, and was linked to a massive cannabis smuggling plot 12 years ago.

What happened on Christmas Eve?

Beqiri was sprayed with bullets in an apparent gangland hit when he answered the door to his £1.5million Battersea home having just got back with his wife Debora Krasniqi and their young son.

He died on the doorstep at 9pm, Christmas Eve, as neighbours and medics tried desperately to keep him alive.

Witnesses reported hearing five gunshots, and that he had suffered bullet wounds to the neck, buttock and stomach.

The gunman fled the scene on foot after the slaying in South West London, having stalked his victim before the murder.

Suspect, Anis Hemissi, 22, was arrested at the request of Scotland Yard as he arrived at Copenhagen Airport from Thailand on January 20.

Hemissi is a kickboxer who is believed to be of Tunisian origin and is currently fighting extradition, denying any wrongdoing.

Who are his family members?

Beqiri is the brother of Missé Beqiri, 33, who stars on reality TV show The Real Housewives of Cheshire.

Misse and her partner Towie star Jake Hall attended her brother's wedding where she shared a touching video to her 239,000 followers of their first dance with the caption: "A magical love, congratulations to my best friend and my brother. I love you both to the moon and back. A true love story."
