Trump fans and Proud Boys clash with BLM and Roger Stone joins protest as bid to overturn election is REJECTED

DONALD Trump fans and Proud Boys have clashed with BLM supporters and Roger Stone joined the demonstrations after the Supreme Court rejected a bid to overturn the election.

Ugly scuffles broke out on the streets of Washington DC last night between the opposing sides as President Trump still refused to concede defeat in the presidential election.

Cops were forced to keep the two sides apart as tensions mounted and pockets of violence erupted.

Conservative political consultant and lobbyist Roger Stone also took to the streets to rally the Proud Boys.

Right-wing supporters took to the streets following the Supreme Court’s ruling to dismiss a lawsuit attempting to overturn Trump’s election defeat.

Trump has continually claimed the presidential election in November was fraudulent and he actually won the vote.

Despite a number of legal challenges to the vote, Trump’s team has been defeated with many cases simply being thrown out.

Trump took to Twitter this morning to write: “I WON THE ELECTION IN A LANDSLIDE, but remember, I only think in terms of legal votes, not all of the fake voters and fraud that miraculously floated in from everywhere! What a disgrace!”

He tweeted late on Friday: "The Supreme Court really let us down. No Wisdom, No Courage!"

Trump added: "So, you’re the President of the United States, and you just went through an election where you got more votes than any sitting President in history, by far – and purportedly lost.

"You can’t get 'standing' before the Supreme Court, so you 'intervene' with wonderful states that, after careful study and consideration, think you got 'screwed', something which will hurt them also.

"Many others likewise join the suit but, within a flash, it is thrown out and gone, without even looking at the many reasons it was brought.

"A Rigged Election, fight on!"

Texan attorney general Ken Paxton had asked the Supreme Court to intervene and overturn the election in four states that had voted for Democrat Joe Biden.

Biden beat Donald Trump for the electoral votes of Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin last month in the November 3 presidential election.

Texas tried to sue all those states over their voting rules that expanded voting access amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

The state alleged that the rule switch-up led to irregularities that justify scrapping the states' election results.

The Supreme Court issued a one-page ruling just after 6.30pm Friday, effectively ending Trump’s legal bid.

“Texas has not demonstrated a judicially cognizable interest in the manner in which another State conducts its elections,” the ruling said.

With the court defeat Trump is quickly running out of options in his desire to overturn the election outcome.

He is now said to be pushing for a special counsel appointed to investigate his claims of election fraud and look into the allegations made against his rival’s son, Hunter Biden.

Trump is said to be increasingly frustrated with his legal team over their steady stream of losses in trying to overturn the election results as well as with his attorney general Bill Barr for failing to act over claims made against Joe Biden’s son.

Donald Trump is also said to have threatened to fire Barr but so far has been dissuaded to do so by his aides.

Barr though is said to be unlikely to make such an appointment in the wake of the Supreme Court ruling.
