And IKEA has introduced furniture that slots together like a jigsaw with no fixings.

YouTube video tutorials have been made on how to paint walls and clear out sheds.

US chain Home Depot has even released one using a measuring tape.

It comes after a poll by Halfords found that nearly two-thirds of customers could not change a tyre, The Times said. The store has expanded its car and bicycle maintenance services as a result.

One in 10 millennials admitted in another recent survey that they cannot change a light bulb.
