Plane crashes at Camp Kahdalea in Transylvania County, NC with 'three hurt' as rescuers rush to children's summer camp | The Sun

THREE people are hurt following a plane crash at a summer camp, officials said.

Emergency crews are at the scene of the crash at Camp Kahdalea for Girls.

It is being reported that the aircraft was a Cessna 172M.

The plane crashed just after 6pm, it's unknown how close to the camp, the aircraft crashed at this time.

All three people were transported to nearby trauma centers.

"At this time emergency personnel are on the scene of what is reported to be a small plane that has apparently crashed near Morgan Mill Rd in our county," said Communications Director for Transylvania County Kevin Shook to The Sun.

"They are still working the scene and no further details are available at this time."
