OPP lay impaired driving charges in Peterborough County, Kawartha Lakes
February 19, 2019The OPP laid several impaired driving charges over the Family Day weekend in Peterborough County and the City of Kawartha Lakes.
On Friday night around 8 p.m., Peterborough County OPP stopped a vehicle at a RIDE program on Burleigh Street in the village of Apsley in North Kawartha Township. Police say they found the driver to be under the influence of alcohol.
Connie Herman, 60, of North Kawartha Township, was arrested and charged with operation while impaired with blood alcohol over 80 mg.
She was released and will appear in court in Peterborough on March 13.
Selwyn Township
On Sunday around 11 p.m., Peterborough County OPP stopped another driver on Buckhorn Road in Selwyn Township. OPP say they found the driver to be under the influence of alcohol.
Kevin Martin, 52, of Selwyn Township was arrested and charged with operation while impaired with blood alcohol over 80 mg and driving a motor vehicle without a current, validated permit.
He was released and will appear in court in Peterborough on March 20.
City of Kawartha Lakes
On Sunday, Kawartha Lakes OPP responded to a call about a possible impaired driver on Little Britain Road, near the village of Little Britain, just south of Lindsay.
Officers located the suspect vehicle at a business in Lindsay and police determined the driver was under the influence of alcohol.
Charles Titus, 53, of the City of Kawartha Lakes, has been charged with operation while impaired with blood alcohol over 80 mg. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
He was released and will appear in court in Lindsay on March 28.
