Online pharmacy halves price of morning-after pill for Christmas party season
December 11, 2018Digital pharmacy Chemist-4-u.com has slashed the cost of its cheapest emergency contraception to just £4.99 — less than a third of the Boots price.
The firm is telling women to stock up now so any party romps won’t leave them with an unwanted pregnancy.
The pills can work up to 72 hours later but are best taken soon after unprotected sex or failed contraception.
The Christian Medical Fellowship denounced the move as “irresponsible” and said it would “fuel promiscuity”.
But Clare Murphy, of abortion charity the British Pregnancy Advisory Service, welcomed the price drop.
