Netflix's Bridgerton is inspiring randy Brits to snap up four-poster beds in bid to recreate show's steamy sex scenesJanuary 27, 2022
RANDY Brits have been snapping up four-poster beds hoping to recreate the raunchy romps in TV’s Bridgerton.
The beds feature regularly in Netflix’s Regency-era bonkbuster, which began streaming at the end of last year.
But since then, Argos has seen a 112 per cent increase in the number of people searching for its Habitat four-poster beds.
And sales are up 300 per cent since November.
The retail firm said four-poster beds were no longer seen as an “extravagance reserved for stately homes”.
The French Bedroom Company said customers were asking to help them “get the Bridgerton look”.
And John Lewis said yesterday that its own brand four-poster bed was just back in stock after selling out.

Sophie Lewis, of home interiors brand Husoe Home, said the pandemic could be one reason why people are looking to emulate the “fairytale-like, romanticism of the story of Bridgerton”.
The drama, set in 1813 stars Rege-Jean Page, 31, as the Duke of Hastings and Phoebe Dynevor, 25 — daughter of Corrie’s Sally — as Daphne Bridgerton.
The pair have had several romps on the show.
