I scooped two lottery jackpots in ONE DAY all because I was in trouble with my wife – we have big plans for our cash | The SunMarch 14, 2023
A HUSBAND scooped two lottery jackpots on the same day – all because he was in trouble with his wife.
The lucky man, from Dapto, Australia, won more than £1million after picking up two tickets for the same draw.
He purchased the pair of identical tickets after being told off by his wife for forgetting to buy entries for the previous game.
In a bid to escape the dog house, he bought two tickets for the next draw.
To his shock, their numbers came out.
He told Lotto: "My wife has played these numbers for almost three decades and has always said they'd be drawn one day.

"Lo and behold, she kept crossing off number after number on her ticket, and once we realised we'd won $1 million (£547k) on one ticket, I thought I should probably tell her about the second identical ticket too."
His wife said she "almost passed out" after realising they had doubled their win.
She said: "It won't take much to make us happy.
"I can buy my daughter a house, I can set up the children and grandchildren for the future.
