Hilarious moment BBC reporter is hit in the face with sudden snow drift in broadcast

THIS is the moment a BBC reporter is smashed with a lump of snow as she reported live during a blizzard.

Laura Trevelyan was blasted by a snowstorm in Washington DC as she did a pieceoutside the Capitol building.



The British journalist was filming for a piece on the anniversary of the Capitol riot when she was taken by surprise by the white stuff.

Laura made it 20 seconds into the video before being lashed by a gust ofsnow.

She covered her face, turned away from the icy interruption and exclaimed "oh God".

The journalist later posted the footage to her 11,700 Twitter followers.

Making fun of the incident, she wrote: "Still thawing out… that's Sam Beattie you can hear giggling."

The video has been viewed more than 100,00 times on the social media site.

Ms Trevelyan worked as the BBC's United Nations correspondent from 2006 to 2009.

And she became a US citizen in 2016, a day after Trump won the race to the White House.
