The security footage showed how the courier pulled into the driveway, wound down their window and tossed her package onto some gravel in front of her home.

A Hermes courier pulled into Debbie Delgarno’s home in Corby, Northamptonshire on Wednesday. She was expecting the delivery of a package containing three Christmas presents

The courier pulled onto Ms Delgarno’s driveway, wound down his window, and threw the package onto the gravel. He then failed to leave a note saying the item had been delivered and only sent a text message in the afternoon. Luckily Ms Delgarno’s husband spotted the box and brought it into the house before it started raining

The package, circled, was thrown towards the wall on the gravel outside the front of Ms Delgardo’s

Ms Delgarno described the courier as a ‘c**k womble’ after they failed to check anyone was inside her home at the time of the delivery.

Reviewing her CCTV footage, Ms Delgarno saw the courier did not even leave their car. They also failed to leave behind a ‘sorry we missed you’ note or send a timely text message warning the delivery had taken place .

Ms Delgarno was especially angry because the package contained Christmas presents for three relatives.

She said he paid extra money to guarantee the package’s safe delivery.

Speaking today, Ms Delgarno said: ‘I’d had the email in the morning from Hermes to say it was out for delivery.

‘It was three Christmas presents, luckily they weren’t damaged and it didn’t rain so all ended well.

‘Luckily my husband arrived home in daylight and saw them or they would have stayed out there as I didn’t get the email to say delivered until after 8pm last night.

‘I just thought what an utter c**kwomble, if you don’t want to do the job there are plenty more jobs out there.

‘Our regular Hermes delivery man is great but he had the day off.’

Ms Delgarno posted footage of the botched delivery on Twitter, explaining what happened: ‘This what £7.99 Hermes delivery gets you.

‘He didn’t even get out of the car, just threw it in our front garden.
