Ganada Middle School, New York, on lockdown with 'parents in tears outside building' and Rochester cops on scene

A MIDDLE school is on lockdown, with parents reportedly left in tears as they gather outside the building.

The lockdown orders were issued Friday morning at Gananda Middle School in Wayne County, New York.

Photos from the scene show several parents gathered outside the school, waiting for any updates on their children.

According to News 10, parents are in tears as they desperately try to get in contact with their kids.

A heavy police presence was pictured outside the school.

According to reporters on the scene, a sheriff's deputy told parents no shots were fired, and the students are safe.
