A teacher who had sex with a girl at his home while his wife was away has been jailed for ten years.
Alex Brown, 35, had a relationship with two teenage girls while employed at schools in the Lowestoft area of Suffolk.
The father-of-two exchanged phone messages with one girl before starting to have full sex with her – including at his home, Ipswich Crown Court heard.
Marc Brown, prosecuting, said: ‘He said he would leave his wife when his kids turned 18 – a promise that was all part of his simple manipulation of her.
‘The offences required significant planning and grooming.’
Brown initially told police he kissed and fondled the other girl, but he later confessed to having intercourse with her on several occasions.
The offences followed an exchange of WhatsApp messages, including an image sent by Brown featuring condoms and a blindfold, the court heard.
At Ipswich Crown Court (above), Brown admitted five offences of sexual activity with a child, three of penetrative sexual activity with a child and three of taking indecent images of a child
Brown referred in later messages to the girl that he faced a potential jail sentence if he was ever caught having sex with her.
The girl was described in court as suffering various emotional irregularities.

Brown, of Rothwell, West Yorkshire, admitted five offences of sexual activity with a child, three of penetrative sexual activity with a child and three of taking indecent images of a child. The offences happened between 2015 and 2017.
Jailing him for ten years, Judge David Goodin told him he had ‘betrayed the solemn trust of society in the most comprehensive way imaginable’.
He added: ‘You’re no fool. You knew exactly what you were doing. Your illicit, illegal and shameful activity with both girls was not very different.’
Andrew Oliver, defending, said Brown had pleaded guilty at the earliest opportunity.
He had also shown remorse and accepted the accounts of both girls, acknowledging the vulnerability of both girls.
Mr Oliver added: ‘He doesn’t seek to blame anyone but himself. He knows he has devastated the direct victims and caused knock-on harm to others.’
Mr Oliver said Brown had since lost his career, marriage and home.
