Central Washington University ‘all clear’ following active shooter report

Police at Central Washington University gave the all-clear on campus Wednesday night following a report of an active shooter in the Lind Hall area.

The warning was issued at about 5:30 p.m. PT, and no further details were available.

The campus is located in Ellensburg, Wash.

Special agents with the Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives were responding on Wednesday night.

The university tweeted that it had no reports suggesting anyone was hurt.

It later said that it was performing a search of all buildings on campus and asked students to stay in place.

Finally, police reported that all buildings had been secured and that the campus was “safe and all clear.”

There were no shots confirmed, no known suspects, and no suspects were found, CWU added.
