A care worker has been struck off after hugging an elderly couple as she tried to get them into bed during the coronavirus pandemic without wearing PPE.
Heidi Dunt, 31, was seen helping the vulnerable couple at a care home in Bangor, north Wales, even though she was not working at the time.
Covid restrictions meant the mother-of-two should not have been at the property and, after a fitness to practice hearing, she was struck from the register.

The hearing was told how experienced care worker Dunt hugged an elderly husband and wife after trying to help put them to bed.
Dunt, from Menai Bridge, north Wales, claimed she had full personal protective clothing on – but fellow carers argued she was only wearing gloves.
The panel found she had put the couple and other carers ‘at risk of harm’ and she was struck from the register.
They also found Dunt had failed to notify Social Care Wales about her suspended sentence for dangerous driving.
The panel said: ‘Ms Dunt is required to tell Social Care Wales without delay about anything which may call into question her suitability to work in domiciliary care and this includes criminal proceedings and convictions.
‘Her conduct in not disclosing the proceedings is found to be dishonest or lacking integrity.
‘Ms Dunt has shown no remorse or insight into the impact of her serious misconduct and there is a serious risk of repetition.
‘We consider Ms Dunt acted recklessly without any thought for others.
‘That is compounded by her failure to recognise any fault on her part.’
Dunt did not attend the three-day remote hearing.
