Breathtaking never-before seen pics show hero British Armed Forces snapped in action

BRITISH Armed Forces personnel have been real action heroes this year — as these Ministry of Defence shots prove.

The Army, RAF and Royal Navy have all been pictured during training in a year in which they have also helped the UK tackle the pandemic.

Two British paratroopers can be seen helping their French counterparts firing an AT4 during a training exercise at Salisbury Plain.

The soldiers have been working side-by-side to be ready to respond together to international crises and have been focusing on improving their skills.

RAF Flight Sergeant Dan Whittington took part in an exercise that required him to be winched down from a HAR2 helicopter to assist a Royal Navy medical team.

Sgt Whittington, of 84 Search and Rescue Squadron in Cyprus, helped to extract a dummy casualty back onto his Griffin helicopter.

A soldier from the Royal Corps of Signals was caught on camera painting a poppy mural to honour the fallen onto a wall in Gao Mali earlier this year.

RAF pilots can also be seen maneuvering their C-130J plane in order to get a refuelling line from an RAF Voyager. It has been part of a series of training exercises in Ukraine, which included two Hercules planes flown by 47 Squadron from Brize Norton across Europe who parachuted onto a landing site.

A Royal Marine 40 Commando was snapped jumping across an obstacle during a live firing exercise in Cyprus.

The Royal Marines of Bravo Company will be operating from a Royal Navy ship to work with NATO and provide a forward presence in various areas.

Members of the 45 Commando Royal Marines were also seen firing mortars during a night exercise on Salisbury Plain.
