But the soap star has joined the impressive 2022 Strictly line-up and is taking taking part in the hit BBC show.
Who is James Bye?
Born on February 23, 1984, James Bye is a soap star and film actor.
The 38-year-old took over the role of Martin Fowler on EastEnders in 2014, and has been involved in a number of dramatic storylines.
Away from Walford, he has appeared in a number of movies.
His film credits include Cemetery Junction in 2010, The Great Train Robbery in 2013, and The Hooligan Factory in 2014.
Is James Bye married and does she have any children?
James is happily married and has three children.
He wed his beloved wife Victoria back in 2012.

On August 12, 2022 James was revealed as the eleventh celebrity to be taking part in Strictly 2022.
He told Good Morning Britain: "I've known for a long time – it's been hard to keep a secret. I can tell people I've lied to – if I've lied to you, apologies. It's not really sunk in."

Talking of the reaction of his wife Victoria, James added the decision for him to star had been a "team effort."
He added: "She is really supportive – we talked it all through and it's a decision we have made together.
"She's going to be part of the team."
James then let slip that soap co-star Scott Maslen, who starred on Strictly in 2010, had been giving his some top pointers ahead of his Strictly stint.
He joins the other announced stars competing on the show including Will Mellor and Kym Marsh, who were the first contestants confirmed for the series.
Since then, Richie Anderson, Kaye Adams, Jayde Adams, Ellie Simmonds and Tyler West have also been revealed to be taking part.
Matt Goss, Molly Rainford, Fleur East, Tony Adams, Hamza Yassin and Ellie Taylor have also been revealed.
