Burna Boy is a Nigerian singer, songwriter and performing artist.
He was born July 2, 1991, in Port Harcourt, Nigeria.
Growing up in Sothern Nigeria, he started making his own music using FruityLoops when he was ten years old.
He attended Corona Secondary School in Agbara, before relocating to London to further his studies.

He later studied media technology at the University of Sussex from 2008 to 2009, before gaining a master's degree in media communications and culture at Oxford Brookes University in 2010.
He then returned to Port Harcourt and took up a year internship at Rhythm 93.7 FM.
Burna Boy launched his music career after returning to Lagos.
In 2012, he rose to stardom after releasing Like to Party, which is the lead single from his debut studio album L.I.F.E.

In 2017, the artist signed with Bad Habit/Atlantic Records in the United States and Warner Music Group internationally.
He has worked with other well-known artists who have featured on his albums, such as 2face, M.I, Reminisce, Wizkid, Timaya, and Olamide.
On April 28, 2022, he became the first African artist to headline and sell out a concert at Madison Square.
He is set to perform at the 2023 UEFA Champion's League final.

Burna Boy's real name is Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu.
