TRISHA Goddard is 'so happy' after getting engaged for the fourth time aged 64, and says it's the first time ever she did not have to buy her own ring.

The chat show legend showed off her huge sparkler to fans on Tik Tok after her partner of four years, known affectionately as 'boo' popped the big question during a hike over the New Year.

In an exclusive chat with The Sun, Dancing on Ice star Trisha said: "I'm so happy!

"I said I’d never say [I ]do though again… but…"

"First time ANYONE has bought ME an engagement ring!

"In the past I’ve had to buy my own…

"For the first time in my life, I’ve met someone who looks after me instead of visa versa. 

"I am just so HAPPY!!"

The proposal came as a shock to Trisha, who was praised by fans as 'inspirational' after her turbulent love-life was documented on Piers Morgan's Life Stories.

Little wonder the star is fiercely protective over her partner's identity and shares snippets of their life in Connecticut, USA, enjoying romantic dinners, hikes and sailing out on his boat.

They have been dating for just over four years.

He moved in at the beginning of Covid two years ago and the pair have been inseparable ever since.

Trisha showed off her stunning engagement ring on Sunday after admitting she couldn't believe it when her boyfriend proposed to her during a hiking trip.

He surprised her with an engagement ring as they had a snack during their New Year walk.

She excitedly showed off her new ring on a video, with Ce Ce Peniston's track Finally, playing in the background.

She told fans: "So mid-hike, I thought #boo was breaking out the usual snack of almonds or mandarins or bottles of water…

"Ummm… Man broke out #jewelz, It g'wan be Mrs @boo well soon… Been together 4 years… He makes me laugh, looks after me, is a kid with me …"

Trisha, who has praised her 'boo' for getting her love-life back on track, told fans just why she adored him so much.

She continued: "I'm so frickin' HAPPY with him, learned about de bomp-bomp with him…And before you ask, no…. I'm not pregnant!

"When you 64 you more scared o' yo' kids than what yo' Mammy and Pappy g'wan say!

"But moi? I'm on bloody Cloud Nine!!! Dis Man, innit!"

The breast cancer survivor has been married three times before, first to Australian politician Robert Nestdale in 1985.

Trisha bravely opened up about her fears of passing HIV onto Billie when she was born after learning her first husband died of AIDS.

Aussie TV producer Mark Greive was her second husband from 1993-1996, they had daughters Billie and Madison together.

She was married to psychotherapist Peter Gianfrancesco for almost 20 years from 1998 to 2017.
