This Morning’s Rochelle Humes and Phillip Schofield in hysterics over tech blunder
April 19, 2023Rochelle Humes and Phillip Schofield got the giggles on Wednesday’s This Morning after Rochelle’s earpiece fell out while the pair were chatting to a guest on the sofa.
Rochelle is filling in for Holly Willoughby this week as the show’s usual host is off sick. She has been a frequent face on This Morning in recent years and evidently has a good rapport with Phillip as he poked fun at the former S Club Juniors star for having “really big" ear holes.
Apparently Rochelle’s ear hole is so big that she had to get a custom-made earpiece that would help the piece of tech stay in her ear.
Laughing about the ordeal, Phillip shared that he discreetly passed Rochelle her earpiece as he explained to viewers what they were chuckling at.
As he proceeded to rib Rochelle about her ears, the singer couldn’t contain her laughter and was struggling to speak from giggling so much.
Confirming that what Phillip was saying was true, the This Morning veteran further quipped that two fingers are needed to fit Rochelle’s earpiece.
The tech blunder today comes after Rochelle faced criticism for her outfit on Tuesday morning’s show, with viewers complaining that she looked cold.
The mum-of-three sported a lovely strappy linen cowl-neck midi dress as fans called for her to be given a jacket.
“Can someone get Rochelle a fleece or something, girl looks like she's freezing,” one This Morning viewer tweeted.
Another added: “Rochelle looks cold."
“Can you please put a cardigan on Rochelle, she looks freezing,” insisted a third.
Meanwhile others questioned if she was wearing a bridal dress as the ensemble further divided fans.
“Why is Rochelle dressed as if shes bridesmaid at a wedding #ThisMorning,” pondered one person on social media, as someone else said: “Rochelle rocking a wedding dress on This Morning. We love to see it”.
Others asked if the dress was “appropriate” for the show, but some hailed the star as looking “stunning”.
HYolly Willoughby announced on Sunday night, just hours before she was set to return to our screens, that she’s been diagnosed with shingles and is likely to be off air for the rest of the week.
Meanwhile, Phillip made his This Morning return on Monday, 17 April, after a weeks-long hiatus while his brother Tim was on trial for sexual offences involving a child.
