  • Doctor Who: David Tennant to reunite with River Song in new adventure

The series follows the Yates family, Simon (played by David Tennant), his wife Emily (Jessica Hynes) and their daughter Rosie (Miley Locke).

There She Goes is told across two different timelines, one in the semi-present day where Rosie is older and the other in 2006/2007, shortly after she was born.

Rosie has severe learning difficulties and the series explores how the family cope and adapts to her needs.

The first season addressed the issues of Rosie’s older brother Ben (Edan Hayhurst) feeling overlooked, Simon’s struggle with alcohol, and Emily’s failure to connect with her children.

Season two of There She Goes will take place 18 months on from season one and will follow Rosie aged 3 and 11 respectively.

The show is based on creator Shaun Pye’s real-life experiences of raising a child with a disability.

The BBC has released some details about the first two episodes of season two and their release dates.
