The Walking Dead season 10 spoilers: Negan to become ‘good guy’ after Judith Grimes hint?July 9, 2019
The Walking Dead viewers saw the introduction of Negan (played by Jeffrey Dean Morgan) back in the season six finale as he threatened the Alexandrians.
The season seven premiere then showed just how ruthless and unforgiving he is as he brutally battered Glenn Rhee (Steven Yeun) and Abraham Ford (Michael Cudlitz) to death with his beloved baseball bat Lucille.
Since then, he was locked in an all out war with Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) before being imprisoned indefinitely.
But now, it looks like he could be let out for good in the new season, however, it is not yet certain how he will act if he is set free.
Glimpses of good nature have been spotted in his character, but viewers have ultimately been left in the dark – until now.
Speaking at Fan Fest New Jersey, Judith Grimes star Cailey spoke about the possibility of bringing Negan on as a full-time better person.
According to CBR, Cailey was asked if Negan could ever change sides, and if he’ll be a good guy in season ten, to which she responded: “Yes.
“I am hopeful because I believe in him.”
She went on to elaborate: “In the season finale of Season nine, you can see all the different sides of him.
“And you can see how he has a special bond with Judith, and I think that’s gonna take him places in season ten.

I am hopeful because I believe in him
At one point in time, viewers could never have imagined seeing Negan as anything other than an evil tyrant, but with years passed and Judith bringing out a new side of him, he could be the next protagonist for the show going forward.
However he may have some competition for power, as recently Aaron star Ross Marquand has spoken about the potential return of Rick and Carl Grimes (Chandler Riggs).
Although Carl is dead, Rick is very much still around, and could certainly return to the show at any point.
Speaking on The Walking Dead alum Dan Fogler’s 4D Xperience Podcast, Ross spoke about the Grimes family and their exit.
He said: “See, I wish — I mean, obviously, the show deviates — I just wish Rick and Carl were still around.”
While Rick is definitely going to be seen again following his three upcoming TV movies concluding his story, there’s no promising he’ll be back on the show.
And, considering Aaron was good friends with Rick for years, it would make sense for him to welcome the long-lost Sheriff back into the group.
Ross continued: “I think everyone knows at this point if you’re a fan of the show, and they’ve announced, that there’s gonna be more with Rick.
“So you know he’s not really dead. But Carl, I think in the comic books Carl goes on to be the next hero – the next big saviour of everything.”
The Walking Dead is expected to return to AMC later this year.
