The Mandalorian: First Images of New Outer Rim Speeder Bike Revealed

April 13, 2019

At Star Wars Celebration, we got an up-close look at a new Outer-Rim Speeder Bike from the upcoming Dinsey+ live-action series, The Mandalorian. Since we won’t get any more concrete details about the bike and its owner until the panel on Sunday, the vehicle’s appearance on the show floor is a great appetizer before the main course.

For a better look at the speeder in all of its rugged glory, check out the gallery below:

The speeder bike is a “screen-used” prop from The Mandalorian show, with a written description posted nearby:

“On the rugged frontier worlds of the galaxy, vehicles like speeder bikes endure harsh elements and are overworked with little down-time for maintenance. This Mobquet Zephyr-J model has had most of its unneeded bells and whistles stripped off to be functional above all else.”

During an investor’s webcast, The Walt Disney Company confirmed The Mandalorian will premiere with its new Disney+ streaming service on November 12, 2019. The ambitious new series features an impressive lineup of actors – Pedro Pascal (Game of Thrones), Gina Carano (Deadpool 2), Giancarlo Esposito (Breaking Bad), and Carl Weathers (Predator).

In other Star Wars Celebration news, Episode 9’s official title was revealed, Luke Skywalker’s lightsaber “lives,” and the official teaser trailer for the movie was released. Be sure to check back for more news from the convention.

David Griffin still watches DuckTales in his pajamas with a cereal bowl in hand. He’s also the TV Editor for IGN. Say hi on Twitter.
